About Douglas C Harris

Douglas Harris researches and writes in the fields of property law and legal history, with a particular focus on property and cities. His current involves analysis ownership within condominium. His published work also includes studies of Aboriginal rights to fish in Canada and of systems for registering interests in land. Harris has served as Associate Dean Graduate Studies & Research, and he is currently Chair of the UBC Press Publications Board. In 2013, he received the George Curtis Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence, and in 2016, the Law School’s Faculty Scholar Award for service.
